Day 12

Today's post is going to be a review like comparison of three similar but different shades. They are all pinks that shift to green. How much different could they be? You might be surprised, the shades of pink are different, the amount of shift is different, and the amount of coverage is different. The shades I'm talking about are Madd Style Cosmetics' Seedless, Virus Insanity Eyeshadow's Zombie Cupcake, and Tick:Tock Cosmetics' Abby Rose. :)

I swatched them all over Tick:Tock's Infinity Eyeshadow Base in both Milky Way and Black Hole.

As you can see, the shades over a white base are all very similar, they are very different over a dark base. I personally love shadows that do this. They are know as duochromes and I think it's great that you can get two shadows for the price of one, basically.

Let's take a quick look at the colors individually before I post my shots of them all together on my eyes.

Seedless: Madd Style describes this colors as "A bubble gum pink with green glitter and a green duochrome" You can find and purchase it here. I would call it more peachy pink than bubble gum pink, but I do love it no matter what. You'll have variations in color descriptions based on individual perceptions of color, so I'm never too nit picky on what someone describes a color as unless it's totally off.

Zombie Cupcake: Virus Insanity describes this color as "A super light pink with iridescence that shifts from gold/green to silver/green to blue" I see the light pink, it's super light and lovely. The shiftyness I see tends to be more green/blue than any of the other colors in the description. You can find it and the collection it's part of here and buy it by using the Shop Now Facebook tab or posting on the VIE fanpage. (Jenni is in the process of getting a website up and running, but doesn't have all the things listed yet, but her site can be found here)

Abby Rose: Tick:Tock describes the color as a rosy pink with a strong green duochrome. It's definitely a rose pink, but I had a hard time duplicating the shift I got when I took the pictures for the actual listing. I'm not sure what my deal was. I could see the green shift, but it was still overlaid with quite a bit of pink. None the less, it's still a super awesome color and it was made for a great cause. You can find and buy it here.

Now on to the eye pictures!

I hope you enjoyed this and found it informative. Yes, the colors are all similar, but they are still awesome and it's worth owning each one of them.
